Mr. Chase has protected the rights of investors and consumers who have been defrauded after his being appointed by Federal District Court Judges to serve as Receiver in SEC cases. He has also written articles on SEC issues and teaches a course on SEC investigations as an Adjunct Professor of law at the University of Miami School of Law.

David graduated from University of Miami School of Law in 1992. Beginning his career at Miami-based Greenberg Traurig, an international law firm, Mr. Chase represented securities and financial firms in SEC investigations. From there, he moved to the SEC’s Enforcement division, eventually becoming Senior Counsel. During his tenure, he also served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Economic Crimes Division in the Southern District of Florida. Because he handled securities fraud cases exclusively, he was deeply involved with cases of insider trading, market manipulations, municipal bond fraud, broker-dealer retail sales practice violations, and Ponzi schemes.
